While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Lazzarini: Horrific Hunger Games cannot become reality in Gaza

Thursday 12-June-2025

NEW YORK, (PIC)

Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), issued a stark warning on Thursday, condemning the current US-backed aid distribution mechanism in the Gaza Strip, saying it fails to address the deepening hunger crisis and endangers Palestinian lives.

In a statement posted on X, Lazzarini criticized the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’s aid model—operating under Israeli occupation forces’ (IOF) protection and bolstered by hundreds of US security contractors—as “humiliating, degrading, and life-threatening.”

“(The) horrific Hunger Games cannot become a new reality,” he said.

Lazzarini’s comments come amid growing international concern over Israel’s use of starvation as a weapon of war during its ongoing genocide in Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023.

The UN agency reported Wednesday that over 2,700 Palestinian children under five have been diagnosed with severe acute malnutrition as of late May, a direct result of Israel’s siege and blockade on food and humanitarian aid.

UNRWA staff described the situation in Gaza as one of “peak helplessness and exhaustion,” warning that the crisis “has reached unprecedented levels of despair” across the enclave.

Complete internet and telecommunications blackout hits Gaza Strip following Israeli strike

RAMALLAH, June 12, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Government Emergency Operations Room for Interventions in the Gaza Strip confirmed on Thursday that all internet and landline telecommunications services have been completely cut off across the Gaza Strip.

In an official statement, the operations room held the Israeli occupation apartheid regime fully responsible for the blackout, citing a direct attack on the last remaining main fiber optic route connecting Gaza.

According to the statement, this strike has caused an inclusive digital blackout, now affecting the central and southern governorates of the Strip. These areas join Gaza City and the northern region, which have already been disconnected for two days.

"This deliberate and dangerous escalation aims to dismantle the telecommunications infrastructure in Gaza," the statement said, noting that the ongoing targeting of key infrastructure has hindered technical efforts to repair previous damage. It also emphasized that Israeli-imposed restrictions are preventing access to alternative routes and blocking maintenance work.

The operations room also warned that the wide-scale electricity outages, fuel shortages critical for powering telecommunications stations, and the ongoing ban on importing spare parts and equipment for communications systems and generators have further deepened the crisis, severely limiting any chance of service restoration.

It renewed its call on the international community, United Nations agencies, and all concerned local and international bodies to intervene immediately. The appeal includes demands to allow technical teams access to the damaged areas and to ensure the entry of essential equipment and materials to restore and maintain communication services in Gaza.

Thursday 12-June-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Over the past 24 hours, hospitals in the Gaza Strip received the bodies of at least 103 martyrs, including aid seekers, as well as 427 people suffering from different injuries following the Israeli genocidal attacks on the Palestinian people.

The new fatalities increased the death toll from the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza, which started on October 7, 2023, to over 55,207 martyrs. The number of the wounded also surged to about 127,821 people, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, on Thursday.

At least 21 aid seekers were killed and more than 294 injured by Israeli gunfire today, bringing the total number of people killed since last May at US-Israeli aid distribution centers to 245, with 2,152 others injured.

The total number of slain people and wounded since March 18, when the occupation violated the ceasefire agreement, has reached 4,924, while 15,780 others were wounded.

11 Palestinians killed, dozens injured in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza

GAZA, June 12, 2025 (WAFA) —

At least 11 Palestinians were killed and dozens more injured on Thursday following a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting areas in southern and central Gaza, according to medical sources.

Five people were confirmed killed and others wounded in an airstrike on the Batn Al-Samin area in Khan Younis, located in the southern Gaza Strip.

In a separate incident, six more Palestinians were killed when Israeli drones targeted a gathering of civilians in Al-Maghazi refugee camp in the central region of the enclave. The injured were transported to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military also carried out demolitions of civilian homes in eastern Khan Younis, coinciding with artillery shelling in the same area. Additional artillery attacks were reported in Jabalia in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, affecting large areas.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 55,207 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 127,821 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Israeli strikes kill eight Palestinians in Gaza, Jabalya, and Khan Younus as death toll rises to over 55,000

GAZA, June 12, 2025 (WAFA) –

Eight Palestinians were killed on Thursday afternoon in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting several areas across the Gaza Strip, including Gaza City, Jabalya refugee camp, and Khan Younis, according to medical sources.

Four civilians were killed and others wounded in a strike on the Al-Maqousi towers area in northwestern Gaza City. Two more were killed in an attack on the Beer Al-Na'ja area west of Jabalya in northern Gaza, while another two lost their lives in Al-Batn Al-Sameen area south of Khan Younus.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that 103 Palestinians were killed and 427 injured in the past 24 hours alone, as Israel's ongoing military assault continues.

Israeli strikes kill seven Palestinians, injure others across Gaza

GAZA, June 12, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli strikes on Thursday killed seven Palestinians and injured others across the war-battered Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.

They said that Israeli airstrikes targeted the Old Gaza Street in Jabalia in the northern Strip, claiming the lives of three civilians and injuring others.

The slain civilians and casualties were rushed to al-Shifa Medical Complex.

Another strike targeted a house of the al-Barsh family on the same street.

Meanwhile, Israeli combat drones attacked the area of the al-Maqusi Towers, west of Gaza City, killing four civilians and injuring others.

Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip on Tuesday, March 18, carrying out a wave of bloody airstrikes across the Strip and killing hundreds of Palestinians.

The death toll reached at least 4,924 with 15,780 others wounded, according to medical sources. In the last 24 hours, the bodies of 103 slain Palestinians and 427 casualties were admitted to Gaza hospitals.

Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since October 2023, killing 55,207 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 127,821 others.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.

Israeli military orders evacuation around Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis

KHAN YOUNIS, June 12, 2025 (WAFA) —

The Israeli occupation military has issued warnings to Palestinian civilians and displaced persons in and around the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, demanding they evacuate the area and move toward Al-Mawasi and other locations.

Eyewitnesses report that civilians, including journalists, began to evacuate the vicinity amidst rising tension and widespread panic over fears of a possible Israeli airstrike and new massacres. This development comes amid a near-total blackout of communications and internet services in the Gaza Strip.

According to medical sources, Israeli occupation forces directly contacted people in the area surrounding the Nasser Medical Complex, declaring it a “military operations zone” and ordering evacuation. This has raised concerns that the complex may be deliberately targeted and pushed out of service, especially as surrounding residential blocks are also being threatened.

Nasser Medical Complex is the only facility in southern Gaza that provides specialized services, including dialysis, neonatal intensive care, surgical operations, and critical care. Its shutdown would endanger the lives of hundreds of patients and trigger a major humanitarian disaster.

Local sources warned that after effectively disabling medical infrastructure in northern Gaza, the Israeli military is now systematically targeting the southern health system as well. There is growing alarm that this could lead to a complete collapse of healthcare services in the region.

Israeli forces order evacuation of neighborhoods in Gaza City ahead of heavy bombardment

GAZA, June 12, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces today issued evacuation orders for the Old City and the neighborhoods of Al-Rawdah and Al-Tuffah in eastern Gaza City, warning residents to leave ahead of what was described as an imminent and intense bombardment.

This move is part of an ongoing campaign of forced displacements across the Gaza Strip since Israel's resumption of the genocide on March 18. According to local reports, such alerts have become a near-daily occurrence, affecting thousands of civilians.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) recently reported that around 82 percent of Gaza’s territory is now either designated as Israeli military zones or subject to evacuation orders.

Occupation forces kill Palestinian near Jineen

Jineen, June 12, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces on Thursday killed a Palestinian youth near the northern occupied West Bank city of Jenin, according to the Health Ministry.

The Ministry reported that the General Authority of Civil Affairs announced that the occupation forces opened fire at Khaled Munir Abdul-Qader Houbi, killing him, and withheld his body.

The occupation army alleged that Houbi, 40, opened fire at soldiers at a checkpoint near the colony of Hormesh, established on Palestinians’ lands near Yabad town.

No soldiers were injured in the alleged shooting attack.

The circumstances surrounding the alleged stabbing attempt remain unclear and are largely based on the Israeli version of events.

Israel has been criticized for its reflexive use of lethal force and “extrajudicial killings” when Palestinian alleged attackers no longer pose an immediate threat. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that the circumstances surrounding such killings over the past months remain disputed.

Video footage for similar alleged attacks appears to contradict Israeli military claims, showing alleged Palestinian attackers did not even attempt to carry out any attacks. Some footage showed Israeli forces manipulating the crime scene following such killings.

Official statistics indicate that Israeli occupation soldiers and colonists have sharply stepped up their attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since October 2023, killing 990 Palestinians and injuring approximately 7,000 others. Over 17,500 Palestinians were detained during the same period.

Israeli forces conduct house-to-house raids and searches in Tulkarm neighborhood

TULKARM, June 12, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces on Thursday conducted house-to-house raids and searches in the Iktaba neighborhood, east of the occupied WSest Bank city of Tulkarm, according to WAFA correspondent.

She said that Israeli army vehicles and infantry troops stormed the neighborhood, and carried out house-to-house raids, breaking into civilians’ houses, stores, and warehouses, wreaking havoc inside, terrorizing civilians, and resulting in substantial material damage.

The soldiers brutally interrogated and assaulted several young men. Video recordings show the soldiers smashing the doors of several stores and committing deliberate acts of sabotage against property.

The occupation forces have been waging an onslaught on Tulkarm and the nearby refugee camps of Tulkarm and Nur Shams for 137 consecutive days, concurrently with frequent raids into the city environs, as well as into the towns and villages of Tulkarm governorate.

Israeli forces detain two Palestinians from West Bank

RAMALLAH, June 12, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces on Thursday evening detained two Palestinians from the occupied West Bank governorates of Ramallah and Jenin, according to eyewitnesses and local sources.

Eyewitnesses said that the heavily armed soldiers brutally assaulted a young man, pinned him to the ground, and eventually detained him from Kobar town, northwest of Ramallah.

A video footage shows a soldier pinning the young man to the ground while handcuffed after beating him up.

Meanwhile, Israeli troops showed up at a store in al-Yamoun town, west of Jenin, muscled inside, held all those inside, and rounded up a young man.

The gun-toting infantry soldiers held and assaulted several minors, and fired barrages of tear gas in the streets and towards a gathering of people near a fodder factory.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted without the need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

IOFs uproot olive trees in Nablus, seize bulldozer in Toubas

Thursday 12-June-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) uprooted several olive trees in 'Odala village, south of Nablus, on Wednesday evening.

Local sources reported that Israeli bulldozers uprooted olive trees near the 'Odala bridge, belonging to citizen Ziyad Sa'eed Abdul Ra'heem.

Meanwhile, the IOF' seized a bulldozer while it was operating in the Khirbet Yerza area, east of Toubas.

Mokhlis Masa'eed, head of the Yerza village council, stated that the IOF troops stormed the area and confiscated a bulldozer belonging to citizen Mu'hammed Ali Masa'eed.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation, with American support, has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, resulting in over 181,000 Palestinians killed or injured—most of them women and children—as well as over 11,000 missing and hundreds of thousands displaced.

For fifth day, illegal Israeli settlers block access to West Bank town amid rising violence

Thursday 12-June-2025

NABLUS, (PIC)

For the fifth consecutive day, dozens of the illegal Israeli settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs), have blockaded the main entrance to the Palestinian town of Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya, located south of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

Dozens of the illegal Israeli settlers stormed the village’s entrance, performed Talmudic rituals, and obstructed the movement of residents and vehicles in and out of the town. The IOFs reinforced the blockade by closing the main iron gate leading to the town.

The settlers, emboldened by military protection, have issued threats to demolish more than 20 Palestinian homes in the village, which lies along the main highway connecting Nablus and Ramallah.

On Sunday evening, settlers used social media to incite further aggression, calling for the destruction of infrastructure and homes. They announced plans to gather every evening at 7:30 p.m. to perform rituals and blockade the town until demolitions are carried out.

The settler incitement has also targeted the town’s educational institutions, many of which are situated along the same highway.

This marks the seventh time in 12 days that settlers have sealed the entrance to Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya. These actions are part of a broader campaign of settler violence across the West Bank, which has intensified since the beginning of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023.

According to the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, IOFs and settlers carried out 1,691 attacks against Palestinians and their property in May alone—including 415 direct assaults by settlers. The violence has included the theft of livestock, destruction of agricultural land, and home invasions.

In tandem with the assault on Gaza, IOFs and settlers have escalated their campaign of repression in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, killing at least 974 Palestinians, injuring more than 7,000, and arresting over 17,000 people, according to Palestinian sources.

Israeli settlers assault Palestinians in West Bank towns under IOFs protection

Thursday 12-June-2025

NABLUS, (PIC)

Three Palestinians were injured on Thursday when Israeli settlers launched coordinated attacks on homes in the town of Baita, south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.

The assaults were carried out under the protection of Israeli occupation forces (IOFs), according to local sources.

Settlers from the illegal Avitar outpost on Mount Subai'h stormed the neighborhoods of Za’tara and Bir Qouza, damaging several vehicles and attempting to invade residential areas.

Palestinian residents resisted the incursion, triggering confrontations during which three civilians sustained injuries, including fractures and bruises. Several others suffered from tear gas inhalation.

In a related incident, settlers also attacked Palestinian agricultural lands in Aree'ha (Jericho). In the Shallal Al-'Awja area north of the city, settlers grazed their sheep on privately owned land, having first seized feed supplies and blocked Palestinian herders from accessing their pastures.

'Hassan Mulai'hat, general supervisor of the Al-Baydr Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, confirmed that armed settlers stormed the Bedouin community and imposed restrictions on residents’ livestock, effectively taking over the area’s natural resources.

These settler assaults are part of an intensifying wave of settler-led violence across the West Bank, often carried out with impunity and IOF backing. Human rights organizations warn that such actions are part of a broader strategy to displace Palestinian communities and entrench settler dominance in the occupied territories.

IOFs deploy bulldozers to Jineen refugee camp to demolish 95 homes

Thursday 12-June-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) deployed military reinforcements and bulldozers to the Jineen refugee camp in the northern West Bank on Thursday, escalating their campaign of destruction in the area.

Local sources reported that the IOFs, accompanied by bulldozers, moved from the Al-Jalama military checkpoint toward the camp, preparing to carry out the demolition of homes previously marked for destruction earlier this week.

On Monday evening, the Israeli occupation announced its intention to demolish 95 homes in various parts of the Jineen camp, particularly in the western quarter and along Al-Sikka and Abdullah 'Azzam streets.

According to the Jineen Municipality, the IOFs demolished around 600 homes — either partially or completely — inside the besieged camp since the latest wave of aggression began on January 21.

Northern West Bank refugee camps, especially Jineen, Toulkarm, and Nour refugee Shams, have seen a sharp rise in Israeli assaults, displacing over 50,000 residents so far. The destruction of homes, infrastructure, and public facilities continues amid growing fears of a broader plan to permanently alter the identity and layout of these camps and erase their historical and social fabric.

UNRWA Commissioner-General says US model for distributing aid in Gaza is 'deeply humiliating, degrading, and putting lives at risk'

NEW YORK, June 12, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, said on Thursday that "the US aid mechanism in the Gaza Strip will not address the worsening hunger, and the horrific Hunger Games cannot become a new reality."

In a post on X, he described the model for distributing this aid in Gaza, outside UN supervision, as "deeply humiliating, degrading, and putting lives at risk."

Lazzarini emphasized that "the United Nations has the knowledge, experience, and community trust to provide dignified and safe assistance."

The Commissioner-General urged UNRWA to allow humanitarian workers to carry out their work in the Strip.

The Gaza Strip has been suffering a catastrophic humanitarian crisis since the occupation closed all crossings on March 2, preventing the entry of food, medicine, aid, and fuel.

The ongoing war of genocide, which began on October 7, 2023, has left approximately 182,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that has claimed the lives of many, including children, as well as widespread destruction of infrastructure affecting more than 75% of the Gaza Strip.

Starvation of Gaza’s civilian population constitutes war crime, Sweden’s FM says

STOCKHOLM, June 12, 2025 (WAFA) –

The starvation of the civilian population of the Gaza Strip as a method of warfare constitutes a war crime, Sweden Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard stated on Thursday.

“Using the starvation of civilians as a method of warfare constitutes a war crime. Life-saving humanitarian aid can never be politicized or militarized,” Minister Stenergard was reported in the Sweden Herald.

She stressed the urgent need that “food, water and medicine quickly reach the hard-hit civilian population, many of whom are women and children, who are currently living in completely inhumane conditions.”

Responding to a question about whether Israel is guilty of war crimes by using starvation in the course of its genocidal aggression on Gaza, Minister Stenergard replied: “Right now, there is a lot that suggests that Israel is not living up to its commitments under international humanitarian law.”

“It is ultimately the courts that should decide this,” she added.

She affirmed that the Swedish government has increased support to aid organizations, such as the UN's food program, UNICEF and the International Red Cross Committee.

ROME, June 12, 2025 (WAFA) —

In a joint statement issued Thursday evening, the foreign ministers of France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, and the United Kingdom, along with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

The statement followed a high-level meeting held in the Italian capital, Rome, focused on security in the Euro-Atlantic region and the ongoing war in Ukraine. The summit was also attended by NATO Secretary General and the Ukrainian Foreign Minister.

"We will strengthen our partnerships in regions impacting our security to counter instability and promote peace and prosperity, particularly in the Mediterranean, Africa, the Western Balkans, the Black Sea region, and the Middle East and North Africa," the European ministers stated.

In this context, they urged an immediate halt to the war in Gaza, the urgent resumption of humanitarian aid access to the territory, and the release of all hostages.

The Global Coalition calls on Egypt to cooperate with convoys to break Gaza siege

Thursday 12-June-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Global Coalition Against the Occupation of Palestine called on Egyptian authorities to respond positively and cooperatively to the upcoming international march from Europe aimed at breaking the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip. The coalition affirmed that the campaign respects Egyptian sovereignty and local laws.

Ziyad Al-'Aloul, a member of the coalition, explained that the goals of the campaign are purely humanitarian — to lift the siege on Gaza, end the suffering of its residents, and pressure Israel to halt the ongoing genocide against civilians, according to Arabi 21.

He added that the participants in the campaign are Western activists from various fields and sectors, including parliamentarians, university professors, lawyers, students, and doctors. They have come from various countries across Europe and the Americas, and thousands of them have already begun arriving in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, in preparation to head to the Rafa'h border crossing.

He said that around 10,000 people have registered for the march, with over 4,000 already confirming their travel arrangements, noting that “the majority of participants will arrive in the coming hours.”

On Wednesday, Egyptian authorities turned away several solidarity activists upon arrival in Cairo. Al-'Aloul expressed regret over these incidents, which included the deportation of some lawyers from Turkey, Morocco, and Algeria — both from the airport and from some hotels. “We hope such incidents will not be repeated,” he said.

Al-Aloul emphasized that all participants in the campaign have signed pledges to respect Egyptian sovereignty and applicable laws. “We are keen on full cooperation with Egyptian authorities and are committed to the peaceful path of the campaign,” he said.

He concluded by noting that the European march coincides with the “Maghreb Steadfastness Convoy” arriving from North Africa. The two efforts were coordinated to ensure that humanitarian actions from around the world converge in a unified message of solidarity with Gaza.

Last Sunday, an international solidarity march with Gaza was launched, with thousands of participants from more than 32 countries around the world. The humanitarian initiative aims to break the 18-year-long blockade on the Strip and call for an end to the genocidal war launched by Israel on October 7, 2023.

According to the organizers, the convoys are assembling in Cairo today, Thursday, before setting off for the city of Al-Arish in northeastern Egypt. From there, participants plan to walk toward the Rafah border crossing, where they will set up symbolic protest tents near the border.

Al-'Aloul also noted that the European march coincides with the arrival of the “Maghreb Steadfastness Convoy,” which departed from Algeria, in a joint effort that reflects the unity of the international grassroots movement.

Since October 7, Israel has launched an unprecedented assault on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing and injury of more than 181,000 Palestinians, most of whom are women and children. Over 11,000 people are missing, amid a suffocating blockade and worsening famine, as the world largely turns a blind eye.

Nearly 2 million Palestinians have been left homeless after their homes were destroyed by the war machine and they were forcibly displaced. Meanwhile, humanitarian aid continues to be severely restricted, raising urgent alarms of an impending historical humanitarian catastrophe.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
